A Family Guide Through the Central Coast

ABOUT
Senior Project Explanation
Welcome to our senior project! We are a group of Cal Poly Child Development students that want to create a space where families can gain knowledge about family well-being. During our Fall Quarter 2020 we did a quarter long research project that qualifies us to create this website for families with children in early-middle childhood. If you live in the Central Coast and are looking for family resources, you've come to the right place.
Our Goal?
We want to bring local organizations together for one goal: promoting well-being in families

"Healthy and nurturing parent–child interactions guide children's emotional and cognitive development and allow children to explore their world with a sense of emotional security"
Zabriskie & McCormick, 2001
Studies suggest that leisure is the single most important factor in developing healthy and cohesive relationships between spouses and between parents and their children
Michael J. Fox
“Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.”
